Have an explore below to see what has been going on in our rooms this month
The Pre-School Room
Kendor Christmas Day
Just before Christmas we hosted a Kendor Christmas Day where we invited all the parents and children in and transformed the rooms into different areas. Pre-School room was turned into an elves workshop with different stations we had: the North Pole post office, a craft area, a reindeer pen with reindeer food making and gingerbread decorating. We also wrote and illustrated our very own story to read on the Christmas Day.
Book Of The Week
Our book of the week is 'Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs' we have been putting ice and snow into buckets and freezing dinosaurs in ice which the children have all loved trying to melt to get the dinosaurs.
Giving Table
At Kendor we understand that the cost of Christmas can be a stressful time to many so we put together a giving table from toys to wrapping paper and gift tags we wanted to give back. With donations from staff to working closely with businesses such as 'The Entertainer' who kindly gifted us a £15 gift voucher to use to purchase toys for the children for the table. We put this together and opened the giving table for our parents to take anything they needed.
The Toddler Room
Kendor Christmas Day
Just before Christmas we hosted a Kendor Christmas Day where we invited all the parents and children in and transformed the rooms into different areas. Toddler room was turned into a Winter Wonderland. We had lots of ice, fake snow on the floor and we made peppermint creams. We also wrote and illustrated our very own story to read on the Christmas Day.
Book Of The Week
Our book of the week is 'Little Lost Penguin Favourite' we have been making fake snow and using ice for the penguins. The children have really enjoyed feeling the different textures as the ice melts.
Donations
Just before Christmas we worked closely with small businesses who donated items for our parents. We worked closely with 'Just Williams Toys' located in Beckenham who put together a lovely hamper for us.
