The Pre-School Room
Easter
We have been busy doing Easter activities with the children. The children love talking about Easter eggs and loved the idea of decorating their eggs with different coloured pasta. Over the half term we set our children and parents a task to make an easter creation at home using whatever materials they could find, we have loved seeing what the children have been making in the pre-school room.
Book Of The Month
Our book of the week is 'The Boy and the Rainbow' with the weather changes we have been seeing a lot of rainbows recently which the children have loved looking at and discussing.
Spring
We have been talking about spring and watching the flowers begin to grow in our garden. The children have loved having different flowers incorporated in their day to day activities. We have been doing daffodil painting, tuff tray potions with herbs and
using flowers in our mud kitchen to make different recipes.
The Toddler Room
Easter
We have been doing lots of easter activities and crafts in the toddler room. The children especially have been really enjoying opening the colourful eggs and finding chicks inside of them and looking for eggs and chicks within the shredded paper.
Book Of The Month
We have recently got a new book from Twinkl called 'A Baby Monster Surprise' which our toddlers have loved having it read to them and have been talking about the monsters and the animals.
Cars
The toddlers have had a very strong interest in cars recently so we set up an indoor car wash for the children with brown shaving foam for mud, normal shaving foam as the soap and a bowl of bubbly water to rinse it off with, the children also had sponges and cloths to help with the cleaning.
